Restoring our ecosystems through Regenerative Agriculture

‘We can roll up our sleeves to restore ecosystems!’

Come and listen to Anne van Leeuwen about restoring our ecosystems through Regenerative Agriculture! A lecture on regeneration and personal reconnection that is all about getting out there and starting co-building the world we want to live in.

Anne will share her story as a new entry regenerative farmer in the Netherlands. She will share her own journey towards farming as well as the ventures she undertook. And how this path led to the Lenteland foundation, the European Alliance for Regenerative Agriculture: EARA and the 45 ha integrated community farm ‘t Gagel in Lochem, where she propagates all sorts of food as well as a new culture. The lecture is also a deep dive into the Anthropocene and a European world view that tends to dictate our actions. It shows how important radical clarity and purpose is for us to regenerate, and to start farming in a way that actually facilitates life.

Anne van Leeuwen (1987) worked on a museum about the relationship between humans and the rest of life at Artis royal zoo and co-founded the Embassy of the North Sea in Amsterdam. In 2019, she started Bodemzicht farm and foundation with her partner Ricardo Cano Mateo in Malden. In 2024 she moved to the 45 hectare Lenteland regenerative community farm 't Gagel in Lochem. She is in close contact with the regenerative movement in the Netherlands and a founding farmer of the European Alliance for Regenerative Agriculture (EARA). She is also a EU Mission Soil Ambassador and has recently been selected as one of the Top 50 Farmers in Europe.

Anna’s presentation is followed by a panel discussion with Sara Håkanson Maxence, project manager at Regenerator – an innovation platform and collaboration accelerator with the focus to regenerate the Swedish food system by 2038. And with another Top 50 Farmer Marie-Claire Feller, community manager at our amazing very local student run Alnarp’s Agroecology Farm!

Come and listen in person in Alnarp to be inspired by Anne, Sara and Claire about soil health, regenerative agriculture and how to start producing a regenerative food culture!
